SALTERS COTTAGES 1981
Salters Cottages (1981) is a 16 minute, 16mm B&W film, with a Bell and Howell projector soundtrack. Set in a summer cottage colony on Long Island, New York. It looks at the voyeuristic and exhibitionist activities of its residents. An homage to Jean Genet's Un Chant d'Amour (1950), and influenced by Maya Deren, Alexander Hammid's Meshes of the Afternoon (1943). Salters Cottages features John Erdman, Peter Hujar, Suzanne Joelson and Gary Stephan.
